ROYAL CANIN Veterinary Satiety Weight Management Small Dogs 3kg is a complete dietary food for adult dogs.

RECOMMENDED FOR WEIGHT LOSS AND WEIGHT MAINTENANCE AFTER WEIGHT LOSS IN CASES OF:

• Overweight/Obesity
• Diabetes mellitus with overweight/obesity
• Hyperlipidemia with overweight/obesity

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR:

• Dogs with a history of constipation in response to high fiber diets
• Growth, gestation/lactation

The IDEAL WEIGHT should be determined based on the individual's weight and BCS. The recommended daily intake is based on the animal's ideal weight. The starting ration may need to be adjusted during follow-up visits. A weight loss goal of 1-3% of body weight per week is generally achievable during the first 3 months, and 0.5-2% thereafter.

Maintenance Ration:

Energy requirements to maintain a stable body weight after weight loss are lower than for dogs that were obese. It is recommended to continue feeding the weight loss diet once the ideal or target weight has been reached. To maintain an ideal weight, gradually increase the daily food ration until your weight stabilizes.

Maintenance rations may need to be adjusted based on the individual. If the dog regains more than 5% of its body weight, the ration should be reduced to weight loss rations. It is recommended to use a digital food scale to measure daily food intake and divide the daily food intake into a minimum of 2 meals.
